the fair

i was lucky enough on Sant Jordi's Day to share stand with
Morsa publishers, Belleza infinita, Adicciones porque sí and Bostezo mag.
i was not sure why i was participating once again in this fair,
last year was too bad for me,
i lost sleep preparing everything and that day i didn't enjoy at all.
this time it was cool.

so i tied my suitcase sampler with all the fake watches to the bike
that morning
and set up the rest of the things on a borrowed folding camping table
( a sweet second hand book seller game it to me it :).

i was delighted to get my stuff out from home, letting it go outside for a breath of fresh air and see people, and that people would see them.
some came to say hello: ameskeria, Núria (de Las Coleccionistas) and Irkus, La Ballena Elena, Mónica Custodio, my friend Silvia and Anabel, and Vanessa...
and people who did not know in person as telericatarta, Andrea (who had bought in my Etsy store) and Santhy from kitty miffy blog visited me too! they all made me happy :)

the Ramblas charm is that all kind of people take a walk and mix there.
tourists, locals, people from other neighborhoods, or from outside of barcelona... they all use to wander on this day through books and buy some roses. or enjoy the party street life.
i would dare to say that all the people who don't visit blogs like mine could walk there that day.
this is the great thing of this place.

telling the truth, all the other stands were full of books, so mine was like a color explosion and easily attractted attention ;)
... but hey, I was very amazed by people's reaction , girls came running, old ladies stood and watched with a smile on her faces remembering them as childs, buying fake watches on sunday morning; boys, men and old men stared with curiosity ...
i even made a great trade with one of the secondhand book sellers. i got some beautiful vintage books with gorgeous illustrations.
he wanted to giftgive one fake watch to her mother on her 80th birthday, he knew she would love to have finally something that holds time. so nice! it warmed my heart.

and yes! Rose Mary cookies were very yummy and got a lot of success!! :D

Oh dear, it looks as if you had the most wonderful time! And I bet your watches did the trick among the books! I hope I can keep my paws off them when you put the new ones in your shop, but I can't promise (sorry wallet)

We spent easter on a farm up in the hills/woods, and when we came back to Oslo - spring had finally settled for good! Leaves on the trees, atsjouh! I'm allergic, but hey - I gladly suffer for springtime!

What a wonderful idea to give an old mom a fake watch because time would not fly away anymore. It made me almost sniff a little bit.
And I really like the way how you present your watches.
Best, Antje

Hello Eva!

I wish I could have visited your stall, so cute!
I bought Doli Kitty from you some time ago
...do you remember me?

Doli Kitty and I have moved into a big new studio...
when she's a bit more settled I'll take some pictures of her new home and put them on my new blog,
so you can see how happy she is :-)

I've got some pics of my toys on my blog
(raised by the wolves),
though I'm still (still!) getting my Etsy shop set up,
please stop by some time and take a peek....

cheers Anna xox
